Welcome to our second week of Second Chance. Bryan Law has won his second straight game (see a pattern here?) and $24,812 in cash. At the urging of colleagues here at NGC, we proudly present new podia artwork. Neat, huh? However, in the event I'm either in a hurry or hosting from a remote location...

...scores would be expressed this way. Either way, you can see we've activated random.org to determine which player would "stand" at a certain podium. Oh -- one more thing to show you.

Okay. Everyone's answers are in. Let's see what the machine stopped on. (ding)$3366. Who's the closest?
$3235 koopakid17
It's Kevin. All right. You'll be Player 1. And Player 2 is...
$1800 jman8606
James. Well, Bryan can't wait (see what I did there?). So -- game starts after station identification.
WVII BANGOR Staff announcer: ABC 7 -- focused on your community.
(money machine sfx)(Doug tightening a few screws on money machine as Doc walks by) Doc: Hey Doug. Man -- what's that? Doug: Oh, ain't this a beauty? Doc: "Ain't" isn't a word. (scattered laughter) Doug: Anyway -- this is Morris' Money Machine. Someone in Round 3 could win at least $1000 from it or even $10,000. All a player has to do is land on a chance space -- and have that chance space activate the machine. Doc: So -- how does it stop? Doug: Oh -- it stops by itself. In fact it should stop right -- about -- now! (ding) (audience laughs)Doc: I -- uh -- thought you said a thousand was the minimum. Shouldn't that be *higher*? (audience laughs)Doug: I see what you did there. Oh -- let's give it another try. (Doug hits machine) (ding) (audience laughs)Doc: You -- sure this is going to work by the final round? Doug: Yeah. (whips out cell phone; starts to dial) Just need to call tech support. Doc: (looks at watch) We may be in for a long day, Doug. (scattered laughter from the crowd as Doc leaves) (Doug "breaks the fourth wall" by shaking his head and looking into the camera) Doug: Oh boy.
(opening theme) (camera takes wide shot of studio -- eventually zooming in on big board) Doc Holiday: Hollywood's most exciting game is back -- bigger and better than ever. It's time to go for big bucks on the all new... ...Second Chance! (audience cheers)And now here's our host -- who even gives hardware a second chance -- Doug Morris! (audience cheers)Haha. Thanks, Doc. I think. Helloooo, everybody. Welcome to Second Chance -- where you could spin your way to thousands of dollars in cash. Today, we welcome Kevin Kolsen, James Greek and our two-time champion with $24,812 in cash -- Bryan Law. (audience cheers)Warmest welcomes to our show, everybody -- and good luck. You're going to need it. We start our first round -- which we call Around the Horn. We make three trips around the horn in this round -- with the first trip going straight down the line from left to right -- or from Kevin to Bryan. (board spins) When it's your turn, you may take the first of two spins on our big Second Chance game board. It's loaded with thousands of dollars in cash plus surprises. Those surprises come courtesy of the chance spaces, represented by question marks. On the first spin -- your assured of making money. And all you have to do to make money is hit your button and say -- STOP! (ding)And I land on $575. Now, if this were you, you'd have the choice of ending your turn and taking the money -- or declining the money for the final spin of your turn. That's the second chance in this part of the game. (board spins)If you do take a second chance in this round, it *will* come with a risk -- because the bust spaces will be active. Those are the ones with the dollar signs crossed out. Anytime you land on a bust in this game -- STOP! ... (FF strike buzz)... you hear that buzzer, you'll see that red light illuminate, your score will be reduced to zero dollars -- *and* you'll pick up a letter in the word "bust". Collect all four "bust" letters -- and you'll be eliminated from the game. One more thing. That bright blue "big bucks" space represents a randomly determined amount of cash which could be as little as $3000 or as much as $5000. (board spins) Kevin, by random assignment, you'll start us off. So when you're ready -- stop the board.
(Kevin, please respond with "STOP" and a letter from A to O inclusive.)

(ding) (scattered applause) And your first spin nets you $800. Now -- because there is room for improvement in this situation, Kevin, I do offer a second chance. You may end your turn, play it safe and take the $800. Or you may decline the $800 for that second chance? (audience shouts suggestions) Remember, if you do take that second chance, the bust spaces will be active.
(James, if you wish to take that second chance, please respond with "STOP" and a letter from A to R inclusive.)

(ding)(scattered cheers; a few woahs) *Just* missed big bucks. Got $2000. Would you like $2000 more -- or risk the $5000 you currently have on a second chance? (audience shouts suggestions)
(Bryan, if you wish to take a second chance, please indicate same and "STOP" with a letter from A-R.)

All right, let's put another two grand in your coffers, first. Bryan's now up to $7000. Now we move along to Kevin. (board spins) Board's yours to wrap up this second trip. (Kevin, please "STOP" with a letter from A-O, please.)

(ding)(scattered cheers) That's definitely nice -- $1250. Thing is if you took the money here, it won't give you the lead. Whether or not you take the second chance, remember, there's one more trip around the horn to make. How do you play it, Kevin? (audience shouts suggestions)

If you stopped here, you'd be up to $7800. If you take the second chance, you'd be risking the $7000 you currently have. Either way, Kevin and James get one more turn. How do you play it? (audience shouts suggestions)
(Bryan, if taking the second chance, please indicate same and then "STOP" with a letter from A-R.)
