We're preparing for the fifth episode of Second Chance.
We have two returning champions in this game. Billy Gardell returns from "Wednesday's show" with $25,357 in winnings. Bryan Law returns from "Thursday's show" with $6025.
[ ] [ BILLY ] [ BRYAN ] < < 0 > > < < 0 > > < < 0 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
We went ahead and activated random.org to determine which player would "stand" at a certain podium. As I ask Billy and Bryan to check into this thread, I ask the rest of NGC to PM their answers to the qualifying question.
The player closest to the right answer to our qualifying question gets that first spot. Here's the qualifying query.
On September 19, 2012, at 7:00am Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Family Feud". In Fast Money, two members of the winning family didn't reach the goal of 200 points. The family received how much money as a consolation prize? Please respond in increments of $5.
This game operates on 24-hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

Okay, let's see the answer, first. Yup. Low-scoring bonus round. They only reached halfway at the end of the bonus round -- 100 points for $500. Who's the closest? $735 fdriscoll22
Frank Driscoll goes against the champs -- after station identification.
KATV LITTLE ROCK Staff announcer: The spirit of Arkansas on Channel 7. (opening theme) (camera takes wide shot of studio -- eventually zooming in on big board) Doc Holiday: Hollywood's most exciting game is back -- bigger and better than ever. It's time to go for big bucks on the all new... ...Second Chance! (audience cheers)And now here's our host -- who gives everyone a second chance -- Doug Morris! (audience cheers)Thanks, Doc. Helloooo, everybody and happy Friday! Welcome to Second Chance -- where you could spin your way to thousands of dollars in cash.
[ FRANK ] [ BILLY ] [ BRYAN ] < < 0 > > < < 0 > > < < 0 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Today, we welcome back not one but two champions. Billy Gardell, our man in the middle today, won Wednesday's game with $25,357. (audience cheers)Billy, great to see you again. We're also glad to see Bryan Law -- who won yesterday's game with $6025. (audience cheers)And hello to the lone challenger in this game, Frank Driscoll. (audience cheers)Warmest of welcomes to our show, everybody -- and good luck. Trust me -- because, as we definitely saw yesterday, you're going to need it. We start our first round right now -- which we call Around the Horn. We make three trips around the horn in this round -- with the first trip going straight down the line from left to right -- or from Frank to Bryan. (board spins)When it's your turn, you may take the first of two spins on our big Second Chance game board. It's loaded with thousands of dollars in cash plus surprises. Those surprises come courtesy of the mystery spaces, represented by question marks. On the first spin -- your assured of making money. And all you have to do to make money is hit your button and say -- STOP! (ding)$725 just for hitting a button. What a country. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Now, if this were you, you'd have the choice of ending your turn and taking the seven and a quarter -- or declining the money for the final spin of your turn. That's the second chance in this part of the game. (board spins)If you do take a second chance in this round, it *will* come with a risk -- because the bust spaces will be active. Those are the ones with the dollar signs crossed out. Anytime you land on a bust in this game -- STOP! ... (FF strike buzz)... you hear that buzzer, you'll see a red light illuminate, your score will be reduced to zero dollars -- *and* you'll pick up a letter in the word "bust". Collect all four "bust" letters -- and you'll be eliminated from the game. One more thing. That bright blue "big bucks" space represents a randomly determined amount of cash which could be as little as $3000 or as much as $5000. (board spins)Frank, by random assignment, you'll start us off. So when you're ready -- stop the board. (Frank, please respond with "STOP" and a letter from A to O inclusive.)

(ding)$950.
[ FRANK ] [ BILLY ] [ BRYAN ] < < 0 > > < < 0 > > < < 0 > > [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Now -- Frank, we can go ahead and put $950 in your podium -- and then Billy gets to spin. Or, you may decline the 950 for a second chance. What's your pleasure? (audience shouts suggestions) (Frank, if you wish to take the second chance, please indicate same and then "STOP" with a letter from A to R inclusive.)

Hang in there, Frank. We've got a long way to go. Now for the champs to take their turns -- starting with Billy. (board spins) (Billy, "STOP" the board with a letter from A-O inclusive.)

Bryan: It's very early so why not! Doug: Got another gambler here. Frank's risk didn't payoff... (board spins)Doug: ...let's see if yours does. Bryan: Stop! (ding) (audience applause)Doug: $950.
[ FRANK ] [ BILLY ] [ BRYAN ] < < 0 > > < < 1250 > > < < 950 > > [ B ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Bryan, that worked out. You came out $450 to the good. But Billy has the lead. And it's Billy who starts this second trip around the horn -- followed by Bryan and ending with Frank. (board spins) (Billy, "STOP" the board with a letter from A-O inclusive.)

That would put you in the lead if you took the money. Take the money -- or put $950 on the line on a second chance? (audience shouts suggestions)
(Bryan, if you wish to take the second chance, please indicate same with a "STOP" letter from A-R.)

That completes our second trip around the horn. Bryan's in the lead, Frank's in second and Billy, as my grandmother would say, has the cow's tail. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Time for our last trip around the horn. Remember, players, the leading player will get advantages. Last trip starts with Bryan, continues with Frank and ends with Billy. Bryan, let's roll that board for you. (board spins) (Bryan, "STOP" the board with a letter from A-O inclusive.)
