In also making the note on the Sharks winning game five, I have to announce that Gordie Howe died today at the age of 88. I know for sure that all of hockey is deeply saddened as much as those keeping an eye on this year's Stanley Cup Finals. I watched something of a tribute, but I cannot get the video up yet. I hope to do so later.

I saw a blurb about Gordie passing away too. Seems kind of fitting he should pass almost at the same time as the great Ali. Seems fitting too that Gordie would pass during the Stanley Cup Finals too somehow...
A legend indeed, a legend in his own time, and a legend for all time, and that's coming from me, a person who is not even that much of a hockey fan, and even I know at least a little about what Gordie Howe meant to the game of professional ice hockey.
Condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
