You've seen it on Buzzr, now experience it first hand!
Rules:
Three players face a game board with three columns consisting of five spaces each. Only the topmost space in each column is revealed at the start of the game, each showing a dollar amount and a one-word category. The player in control chooses a space, and all three are shown three sets of initials. I ask a toss-up question whose answer corresponds to one set. The first player to buzz in (closest buzzcode from 1-100), choose the correct set, and say what those initials stood for wins the value of the question and chooses the next space.
If no one chooses the correct initials within a certain time limit (or all three of you pass), I'll give you the correct initials and you can still win the money by mentioning what they stand for. There is no penalty for an incorrect answer. Once a space is played, it's removed from the board and the space below it is available. Each question is worth more money than the previous question in the column. In round one, question values are valued from $500 to $2,500 in $500 increments, going down each column. These values are doubled for round two, meaning that the question values increases from $1,000 to $5,000 in $1,000 increments.
Two spaces in each round are secretly designated as Knockout Questions. When a player answers one of these correctly, he not only wins its value, but can deduct the same amount from one opponent's total, effectively stealing their money. Scores can never go below zero, however.
Each round continues until all 15 questions had been asked.
Knockout Round:
In the Knockout Round, there are no categories, just general knowledge questions which follow the same format as in the first two rounds. When a player buzzes in, a randomizer will stop on a value between $1,000 and $10,000. A correct answer does not award this amount, but instead allows the player to deduct it from one opponent's score and deposit it in the Bonus Bank (which begins at $10,000). When a player's score reaches zero, he is eliminated from the game. The last surviving player win the game and keeps whatever money he has left, plus a chance at the Bonus Bank in the Bonus Bout.
Bonus Bout:
The champion faces a giant 25 numbered square game board. The object of the Bonus Bout is to get five-in-a-row in any direction, either across, up & down, or diagonally. Behind each square is a set of initials. Each incorrect answer blocks the path and awards the champ a letter in "TKO". If you spell out "TKO", then you lose and take a consolation prize of $500 for each correct answer. Getting five in a row and surviving awards the champ the Bonus Bank. However....... if you get five in a row without getting one letter in the title, or in other words, play a perfect bout, then you get double the Bonus Bank. If the Bonus Bank is not won, it's carried over into the next show until it is won.
Champs can stay for as many as five shows.
The highest score anyone can get is $67,500 ($7,500 * 3 in Round 1, $15,000 * 3 in Round 2).
