(as the audience chants, the contestants run to their spots) Audience: WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE![OPENING THEME](cheers and applause) (As we pan through the stage, a graphic of the Wheel forms, starting with several colored rings curling into place to form the frame of the Wheel, followed by the wedges falling down to form the Wheel itself, which transforms into this logo.) Jim Thornton: (VO) From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's game!(the animation reverses itself over a shot of the audience) The famous Wheel is spinning your way, with lots of cash and an assortment of fabulous and exciting prizes! And now, here are your host and hostess, Greg Palmer and Katie Cantrell!(Katie and I walk out together, a la Pat and Vanna, to cheers and applause) Greg: Thank you, Jim. (to Katie) Well, back to the old grind. (the two of us separate as I go to my spot) Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Wheel of Fortune. Hope you're having a great day out there and are ready to play along with us. Let's meet today's contestants. Now, if all three of these players look like they've been on this show before, it's because they have. In an incident that will now be referred to as "Bagelgate" (audience chuckles), somebody switched the B off the available letters chart by mistake, causing Billy here to spin more than he would have otherwise. So, we brought all three players back out of fairness. The first player here is Kevin, who won $4,850 yesterday, plus $500 "under the table", a cookware set, some noodles, the cordless Graswip, some shampoo, a bed spread, some pillow shams.... you really cleaned up yesterday. (audience chuckles) Would you please remind us who you are and what you do?

I'm an accountant from Long Island, New York who likes reading, writing and spending time at the gym.

Thought you were going to say arithmetic there. (I chuckle) OK, and I know that a lot of gyms these days have TVs by the treadmill area. Do you watch any TV at the gym, and if so, what do you watch?

I get there after work so I mainly catch the local news or SportsCenter at the gym. I used to watch GSN there until Deal or No Deal and Harvey Feud took up the early evening slots so needless to say I don't watch that channel there anymore.

I hear you. Steve Harvey has too much airtime anyway. Good luck to you.
Next, we have Billy Gardell, the man responsible for all this. Yesterday, he took us for $29,950 in cash and prizes. (audience cheers) Now, I ask you the same question. Who are you and what do you do?

I'm Billy Gardell, but not the man on Mike & Molly... And I'm living in LA, still finding a job. I like game shows, accounting and challenging tasks!

Oh yes, and you won a $20,000 shopping spree at Hammacher Schlemmer last time. Have you gotten a chance to look through their catalog?

Right now I am cashier at a National Sandwich chain from Valdosta, Georgia. I love to listen to music, write a bit in my spare time and play different table top games.

Now, this national sandwich chain, is it the one that offers the 5 (I stick my hand out, indicating all 5 fingers), 5-dollar, 5-dollar footlong?

Oh no. The chain I work for feeds the men and women who need enough food to get through a rigorous shift put out fires of thirst too.
