One E (BONG) Back down to $850 Kevin... (DING DING...DING DING) That sound means we're running short on time players, therefore I (random.org) will give the wheel one final spin of the day... (eyeing up the $2,000 space and licking my fingers) Here goes... If a letter is in the puzzle you will have 24 hours (not 48) from the time those letters appear to solve it... Vowels may be worth nothing, and consonants will be worth $500 plus... Well it's not the big one but... you'll take that I'm sure! $2,000 per consonant gang! And Kevin, it's still your turn... A letter please...

(buzz) Nope, no C... James, you're up. And since James indicated in the vacation thread he won't be back until Monday, and since the speed-up round is normally only 24 hours per turn, I will give James an exception and request that he call a letter no later than Tuesday, April 19th at 8am EST. If you can do so earlier James, that of course would be fine too

That's a winner!!! (1975 WOF Win cue) A most apropos puzzle considering it is April, and April Showers bring May Flowers, and Mayflowers bring Pilgrims... So another $2,850 into your coffers Kevin, which makes you today's big winner with... $10,650! (applause) James, when you guessed that "L" and two turned up, I really thought you had it. Sorry you missed out on that, but you did solve a couple of puzzles, and are taking with you $2,450. Thank you for playing. Ordinarily, if any player does not win any money, they receive a house minimum of $500. Since Johnny more or less disappeared, we will instead donate $250 to Kevin's and to James' favorite charity. (applause) When we come back, Kevin, our first champion, will try to solve a bonus puzzle, and it will be worth another $21,300 in cash! WHOOOOAHHHHHHHH (canned NBC sound effect)... Back after this!

Back with our new champion, Kevin, $10,650, already yours no matter what. Now, as this is your first bonus puzzle, you'll be playing for an additional cash bonus of $21,300! Win or lose, you will come back on our next show, and if you get back here a second time, you will play for THREE times the amount of your winnings for the day! First of all, let's look at the bonus puzzle category... It's a phrase. Next, we will reveal every R, S, T, L, N and E that occurs in this puzzle... (BONG).......(BONG)......... Now from you Kevin, we need three more consonants, and one more vowel...

That's IT!!!!!!!!!! (1975 Win Cue) Wow! I was hoping that H would have helped you and by golly it did! Perhaps my mentioning MAY flowers earlier did too! $21,300 in bonus money won by you Kevin, a one day grand total of $31,950!!!! (cheers & applause) And you'll be back again tomorrow to face off against two new challengers too! Back in a moment! (High fiving Kevin)

And so concludes the maiden voyage of Wheel of Fortune with yours truly at the helm.
This has been a Vanna-free and a gluten-free episode. Hopefully with our next episode we'll have a guest letter turner, since right now I'm standing out here solo, and is there anything more boring than watching a middle-aged man talk to himself?
We are adding some new, fun and exciting wedges to the wheel for tomorrow's show, so I sure hope you'll be here to see them, because if you miss us, we'll miss you.
Bill McDee saying, so long for now, from Wheel of Fortune!
