All right, the famous Wheel is spinning your way, and we'll need three new players. But first, a little business to attend to:
1. It's basically assumed that the Power Wedge drains the opponent with the most money. For the time being, I will continue to allow players the choice of which opponent to deduct money and wedges from (just in case there's the $100,000 Wedge in play). If Complacent Gaming Syndrome develops, though, this choice will be removed. 2. As I mentioned, there will be a Tournament of Champions. The nine biggest winners after an amount of time (including at this point, Dylan) will compete in three regular games, and the three winners from those three days will compete in a two-day championship match. The winner of that match wins a luxury car (with $50,000 cash in the trunk) and will play the Bonus Round for an additional $100,000 cash. Since we're only 4 episodes in at this point, it would be most advantageous to wait.
That being said, I need three new players. Who wants to play America's Game?

I would like to give the wheel a spin or two.

Since you helped me out on Interactive TPIR, it's only fair that I return the favour, count me in!

(as the audience chants, the contestants run to their spots) Audience: WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE![OPENING THEME](cheers and applause) (As we pan through the stage, a graphic of the Wheel forms, starting with several colored rings curling into place to form the frame of the Wheel, followed by the wedges falling down to form the Wheel itself, which transforms into this logo.) Jim Thornton: (VO) From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's game!(the animation reverses itself over a shot of the audience) The famous Wheel is spinning your way, with lots of cash and an assortment of fabulous and exciting prizes! And now, here are your host and hostess, Greg Palmer and Katie Cantrell!(Katie and I walk out together, a la Pat and Vanna, to cheers and applause) Greg: Thank you, Jim. (to Katie) All right, you go your way, I'll go mine. (the two of us separate as I walk to my spot) Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Wheel of Fortune. Happy Friday to everyone. I hope you've enjoyed our first week so far, because I know I have. And we've had quite an exciting first week. In fact, there's only one envelope left at the bonus envelope holder. May I have the envelope, please? (a drumroll plays as Pat Sajak runs out, collects the envelope, runs to my spot and gives it to me) Pat: The things I do for a few extra bucks. (audience laughs, he runs out) Greg: Thank you, Mr. Sajak. (audience cheers) I open up the envelope to reveal what the winner of today's game will be playing for. (I open it and reveal it to the audience) $25,000. (audience cheers, I close the envelope and put it away) Now before we can get to that, we have three new players to introduce. Now Contestant #1, if you've been watching the nighttime show, looks very familiar. His name is Jonathan Darrall, and he's a test prep instructor and community relations developer from Greenville, SC who follows MMA and tried to bend over backwards for Pat. Normally, the rules on the contestant application state: "Participant is not eligible to be a contestant on the Show if Participant has appeared on any version of the Show (including the daytime version with Pat Sajak, Chuck Woolery, Bob Goen or any other hosts), Teen Week, or Wheel 2000." Well, it turned out that one of his opponents was very distantly related to someone who works for someone who supplied prizes for our program. (pause) Yes, we didn't find this out until about two years after his episode aired. So, Harry felt guilty about this, disqualified said contestant, and decided to invite Jonathan back to our show. He's on this version because Harry didn't want Pat to explain what I just explained to you. How was that, Jon? Is there something you want to add or subtract to that?

Nothing to new to add to that, except that I wasn't trying to bend over backwards in front of Pat. He was joking with me and I was playing along!

And so was I. Anyway, you're our meta-returning champion with a total of $17,250 all in cash. Not bad for a one-day total. (audience cheers) Yeah, you can cheer for that. You people would cheer for anything.
Anyway, you're not going to try to bend over backwards here, are you?

Oh good. Nice to have you back.
Next up, Cameron Shields, from Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. He's a retail sales assistant at a hardware warehouse store, and I understand your grandmother was a contestant on the Australian version of the show. Please tell us more about that.

Yes, she was on the "controversial" (as controversial as you can get regarding game shows) Tony Barber era of Wheel, that lasted for around 6 months. She was on in early November 1996, was the champ for a night (so 2 shows) and she won a trip to Kangaroo Island (just south of South Australia, I believe), and a year's supply of garden maintenance. I should also mention, that when it came to the Bonus Round, she was one spoke away from the car!
Unfortunately, I don't have the episode, but here's an episode from late on in Tony's run, which got much better as it went on, and in my opinion, he deserved much better than the treatment he got....

Well, that's fascinating. A year's supply of garden maintenance. I don't think we offer that here. Anyway, I've always understood the Australian version of Wheel to be far more difficult and far more, shall we say, thrifty than the American version. No offense to the people at Grundy. (to the audience on the side) I work for them.
Cameron, I just want to point out that you're not allowed to repeatedly grab the pegs while spinning in order to help elongate the spin. Of course, you've gotten a few practice spins in and you know how heavy this thing is. Anything else you'd like to say before we start?

All right. Good luck to you today.
Finally.... a man who has no prior connection to this program. Kourtney Wilson, originally from Southern Georgia. That's up in WXIA 11 Alive territory. You're a cashier at a nationwide sub shop. Please tell us more about yourself.

Well, I have been a cashier for about seven years used to counting other people's money and not so much my own. However, outside of work I do RPs with a couple of friends, play different board games like Monopoly and such. My current interest right now is learning Korean and it's culture. It's very different than learning English or an Romance language. Believe it not I actually miss pre 2000 Wheel because of the different array of prices out available.

Believe it not I like the random prizes: the Trip around the world, the $68,000 Diamond solitare ring, and of course the Porsche 911 Cabriolet. I think I have expensive tastes. *chuckles*

*chuckles* I think you're confusing this with my other show. $20 to start. (audience laughs) No no no. Good luck to you. (I spin the wheel) Top dollar amount this round is $1,500. We're playing for cash, and here's the first puzzle. (category cue)
