I got an interesting question regarding TPIR million dollar spectaculars (even though they no longer air in primetime)...
For pricing games that were not designated as million dollar pricing games, what rules could be modified so that the contestant could win a million?
My ideas:
Spelling Bee: Contestant would have to have at least three cards and spell C-A-R within his or her first three cards. Or get a car card within his or her first two cards, and reveal the second and/or third cards and if another car card is revealed, the million is won in addirtion to the car, otherwise, the game ends and the car is still won.
Grocery Game: Total must be between $20.90 and $21.00 to win the million.
Rat Race: Get a trifecta (win all three prizes) to win the million.
Cliff Hangers: Get all three prices exactly right to win the million - the yodely guy remain at the foot of the mountain for the entire game.
Shell Game: Predict where the ball is at the start of the game.
Bonus Game: Predict where the bonus window is at the start of the game.
Hole in One: Win the car on the first putt, then the player has a choice to either take the xar, or risk losing the car by putting a golden ball into a hole for the million. Missing that putt loses the car already won..
Pass the Buck: Have three picks, dodge lose everything on all three picks, and win the car in order to claim the million.
Pathfinder: Get all five digits lit up without a mistake.
Bullseye: Come between $10 and $12, and have a chance to risk the prize for the million by locating the hidden bullseye. Getting a sorry loses the prize.
