Tony requested of me a week ago or so to be a substitute host for him for the daytime version of Gambit for this episode, the season finale. I am very honored to do so while Tony is in the middle of his move and also getting his technical difficulties with his computer taken care of.
Matt Ringgenberg has won two matches and an astonishing cash and prize total of $364,175. He requires a new challenger as he goes for his third match win on this episode, the season finale of GAMBIT.
Who would like the opportunity to try to de-thrown Matt? This episode will begin most likely on Tuesday, August 18th, possibly tomorrow, Monday, August 17th depending on how busy I am and how tired I feel after returning home from a 5 night vacation.

Roger that Tony!
Match will begin within the next 24 to 48 hours (possibly sooner). I just arrived home from a 5 night vacation getaway. Unpacking is done but laundry needs doing and grocery shopping too, plus I have work tomorrow, but depending on how I'm able to juggle things, I may be able to start the match later today.

picosong.com/wicm/Bill: That's me! A very pleasant good morning to you all, don't adjust your sets, this is indeed me, Bill McDee, the Gambit P.M. host pinch-hitting for Tony Lane and hosting the A.M. version today. We're wrapping up this season, and Tony will be back to begin the season 2 debut in the fall. Jennifer is on maternity leave, and we have someone pinch-hitting as today's dealer. She is a CBS alumnus. She made her first appearance on the long-running daytime drama "Guiding Light" as Susan Lemay. She's also starred in "American Dreams" on another network, and will be returning as Chloe Beale in "Pitch Perfect 3". Please give a warm welcome to this young lady, the only thing cold about her is her last name... Brittany Snow! (applause) Bill - Good morning Brittany! Brittany - Good morning Bill! I want to say I saw Gambit P.M. and saw your new dealer Lily James showing off her monogram towels. I want to thank you and the staff here on Gambit for NOT giving me towels with MY monogram on them! (audience chuckling & laughing) Bill - Indeed Brittany, Britney Spears, Billy Squire, Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springsteen all have that same issue with monograms! Hopefully Brittany, you will deal out a lot of monogrammed cards in the form of A's and J's, Q's or K's! Please introduce our contestants Brittany. picosong.com/q789/Brittany: Glad to Bill. First, he is an avid bowler and also does youth volunteer work, meet Raymond Weaver! (applause) Brittany: And our current champion whose 2 day winnings in cash and prizes is an astounding $364,175, a supermarket clerk from Council Bluffs, Iowa, welcome back Matt Ringgenberg! (applause) Brittany: Good luck contestants! Raymond, welcome to Gambit. Here a perfect score is only 21 as opposed to 300. Are you active in any bowling leagues at present?

Mercy over $300,000 in winnings and in just 2 days! Any particular prize that you won that excites you the most, or I imagine the cash is the most exciting?

If I were a contestant, the cash would be #1 for me too!
Matt good luck as you go for your third win today.
At the end of our show today, as Frank announced, one of you could win $1,000,000 in cash!
And we'll start this best two out of three game match, right after this.

Object for our players is the first to reach 21, or get as close to 21 without going over in order to win the game. To earn cards, players will have to come up with correct answers to multiple choice questions. Each of them are worth $100. The winner of each game will receive $500. If either player scores 21 exactly, that is an instant win, and in addition to $500, they will also win a jackpot bonus. The Any 21 Jackpot for this game is worth $3,000, and the BlackJack Bonus, meaning just 2 cards required for a 21, will pay... (clang) $15,000! (cheering & applause) We start each game of the match by revealing the first card, Brittany please break the seal and reveal the first card for game number one. An 8 of Spades. Here is the question... Players, please submit your buzzcodes and your answer to this question to me via private message no later than 6am EST tomorrow, Thursday, August 20th. If you do not know an answer, or are uncertain, you can simply submit the buzzcode 0, since an incorrect answer would give $100 and control of the card to your opponent automatically.

You are right for $100!
(applause)
The 8 is yours Raymond. Do you wish to keep it or give it away to Matt?

Matt 60 Raymond 58 Actual 64
Matt?
Matt's answer "Ketchup".
And Ketchup is...
Incorrect! Believe it or not according to that study, Mayo was the #1 condiment based upon sales, over $2 billion vs. about $800 mill for ketchup.
Raymond, you score $100 and control the next card. Do you want to keep it or give it away?

picosong.com/g3fZ/Matt - 44 Raymond - 41 Actual - 93 Matt's answer - "2"... Gavin MacLeod appeared as Murray Slaughter on "Mary Tyler Moore", Captain Merrill Stubing on "The Love Boat" and also as Alvin Wannamaker on "My Favorite Martian", so no, the answer was all 3. $100 more to you Raymond and control of the next card. Matt, the only way you can win is to score 21. You will need to keep answering questions correctly to earn additional cards. One incorrect answer or one missed deadline, and game 1 will go to Raymond. Here's the next question for you Matt...

Jackson ranked #1... Mason ranked... #6! picosong.com/fTwB/I am sorry Matt, the correct answer was Jayden! And Raymond just won game #1! picosong.com/3zeF/First game belongs to our challenger Raymond, another $500 for the win and you have $800 thus far. Yes, Jayden actually ranked at the eleventh most popular boy's name in 2014 believe it or not. William was way down at 22, much to my dismay! Nothing yet for our champion Matt, going for his third win, however, it does take two games to win a match. And we will play game number two of this match, right after these words!

A source for some of the question material asked on Gambit comes courtesy of the World Book Encyclopedia, with over 4,000 experts and 25,000 images. Now we set up for Game 2 of this match. Since neither the Any 21 Jackpot nor the Blackjack Bonus were won during our previous game, they both will grow. Now any 21 is worth $3,500 and a Blackjack will pay... (clang) $17,500 in cash! Here's the first card for game #2... Is it in August, September or October traditionally when Grandparents' Day is observed in the United States? Please submit your buzzcodes to me via private message no later than 3pm EST tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th.
