(main theme closes, cheers and applause)(fade in) Greg: That was a long commercial break, wasn't it? [Sorry.] If you missed the last segment, we just changed the Fame Game slightly by using the Carruthers-style model. Marc just played the most exciting game of his life and hit a $10 Money Card. Marc: $45 Kevin: $20 Steven: $29
So now, he has a $16 lead over the champion. Kevin is still at $20. Back with these questions for all three of you. 1. What famous document begins: "When in the course of human events..."? 2. What would you have ordered if your waiter brings you a gazpacho? 3. Since 1998, Ikue Ohtani has been the voice of what cartoon and video-game character? 4. What bull from the Borden milk family gave his name to a popular glue? 5. The U2 song "Pride (In the Name of Love)" was reportedly written about what civil rights leader?(buzzcodes and answers, please)

All right then. Buying this for $11 would still give you a $10 lead over Steven, and since it worked with him, it'll work with you. (I pull out some money from my pocket) I'll throw in $400 in cash for souvenirs. $5,665 in cash and a trip for $11, and you'd still have a $10 lead. Going once.....

(Mitch gives it to me) Thank you. (I peek inside) Marc, you know that the Carringtons made their fortune in oil, right? Well, we got a little oil for you. (I pull something out of the envelope) It's a $500 gas card from ExxonMobil. Way to go. (audience cheers) We take $11 off your score..... Marc: $44 Kevin: $20 Steven: $34
(I walk over and give the gas card and money to Marc, then go back to my lectern) And you have $6,165 in cash, gas, and a trip plus you still have a $10 lead. Two questions. Steven..... (I give him a thumbs up) You're welcome. Let's get back to the game with this. 1. Whose death in 1977 prompted RCA to keep its Indianapolis plant open 24 hours a day? 2. Which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle namesake painted The Last Supper? 3. As Lucy found out the hard way, what was the key ingredient in Vitameatavegamin?(buzzcodes and answers, please)

That's what we needed to hear. You're now in a tie. (ding) Marc: $44 Kevin: $20 Steven: $44
3. As Lucy found out the hard way, what was the key ingredient in Vitameatavegamin? (buzzcode: 43) *Steven buzzes in (50)*Steven? Steven: AlcoholAnd just like that, you're back in the lead! (audience cheers) (ding) Marc: $44 Kevin: $20 Steven: $49
Talking about Vitameatavegamin, a good deal of time and effort was expended by I Love Lucy's stage manager Herb Browar to find just the right liquid concoction to fill the Vitameatavegamin bottles. It had to ooze out of the bottle, not flow freely, plus it had to taste good to Lucy. After trying and dismissing a half-dozen products, including honey, Browar stopped off at a health food store on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood and found the perfect liquid: apple pectin. Lucy loved the taste, and they proceeded to fill the bottles with it on dress rehearsal day. We've got a great match here, and we'll be back to it after this commercial time-out. (main theme to commercial)(cheers and applause) (fade to commercial) -------------- ---------------------------- (main theme closes, cheers and applause)(fade in) Greg: Welcome back. We were talking about I Love Lucy during the break, and one of my favorite episodes is "The Séance", particularly when Fred introduces Ethel as the medium Raya. She bows, and he says, "Well done, medium Raya". (the audience and I laugh) We're back with a very good match. Steven, our champion, has taken the lead back. He's now just $12 and a win away from gold cufflinks worth over $15,000. Marc: $44 Kevin: $20 Steven: $49
However, Marc is only a question behind and Kevin is still at $20. [FAME GAME]But we're putting a $15 Money Card up on the board as all three of you compete for control of said board. Looking for a famous thing. I am a board game created in 1979 and released in 1982. My creators were both Canadian journalists. After finding pieces of their Scrabble game missing, they decided to create their own game, me. In North America, my popularity peaked in 1984, a year in which over 20 million copies of me were sold. Two notable court cases were filed regarding me, and both were decided in my creators' favor. I have been adapted for television multiple times in various countries, including one format developed and produced by game show host Wink Martindale. In 2012, I was accused in the UK of being "dumbed down" in comparison to previous editions, with easier questions and more focus on celebrities and show business.(buzzcodes and answers, please)

In-cred-i-ble! Second time we've used the Carruthers 3000 randomizer, and the second time a Money Card's been hit. Let me ask you, Steven. Is there a board pattern you're memorizing as we play? Are you and Marc going Michael Larson on us?

That's good enough for me, Standards and Practices, and the 15 million other people watching. I'm just kidding. We'll add that $15 to your score....
Marc: $44 Kevin: $20 Steven: $64
And Steven now has $64, more than enough for those gold cufflinks. However, Marc is only 4 questions behind, and Kevin, there's plenty of game left. We'll have a $25,000 CashCard after these questions for $5.
1. What did Oscar Wilde say was "the name everyone gives to their mistakes"? 2. What computer term is short for modulator-demodulator? 3. What concert hall escaped destruction in 1964 when it was designated a National Historic Landmark? 4. Who was recently fired on The Celebrity Apprentice for not calling her TV dad, Bill Cosby? 5. What part of Evander Holyfield's body forced his retirement from boxing?

[CASHCARD]And that $30 lead could come in very handy because it's CashCard time. You know how this works. One suit hides a $15 "refund", one suit could give you between $1 and $50 in Random Cash, one is worth a lot of money, and one could get you this prize..... (the lights dim as Julie shows off this ring)Charlie: (VO) Steven, you could turn the woman of your choice's head with this stunning diamond engagement ring! (main theme closes, cheers and applause)(fade in) Greg: Our champion Steven Anderson has just won $25,000 in cold, hard cash. That's the good news. The better news is that he still has a $15 lead! Marc: $49 Kevin: $25 Steven: $64
Marc is at $49, and Kevin..... well, he's on the board at $25. Don't despair, there's still $115 guaranteed in play in this game, with a possible $25 to be won on the Fame Game board. First, these questions for $5 a piece. 1. What's the term for a plant that lives more than two years? 2. What kid's toy came under fire recently for releasing an accessory that looks just like a penis? 3. What war's soldiers wrote on helmets: "We are the unwilling, led by the unqualified, doing the unnecessary for the ungrateful"?(buzzcodes and answers, please)

1. What's the term for a plant that lives more than two years? (buzzcode: 22) *Steven buzzes in (22, BULLSEYE!)*Steven? Steven: PerennialThat's exactly what it is, you now have a $20 lead. (ding) Marc: $49 Kevin: $25 Steven: $69
2. What kid's toy came under fire recently for releasing an accessory that looks just like a penis? (buzzcode: 96) *Steven buzzes in (69)*Steven again? Steven: Play-DohThat's right, and you go to $74. (ding) Marc: $49 Kevin: $25 Steven: $74
And for your edification, here is a picture of the replacement tool you can get for free by calling Hasbro's Customer Service Department at 1-800-327-8264. And remember, you saw it first on $ale of the Century. Next question. 3. What war's soldiers wrote on helmets: "We are the unwilling, led by the unqualified, doing the unnecessary for the ungrateful"? (buzzcode: 7) *Kevin buzzes in (43)*Kevin? Kevin: Vietnam WarSounds like a few interns at NBC. You're right, and you go to $30! (ding) Marc: $49 Kevin: $30 Steven: $74
[FAME GAME]$44 separates all three players, so a $25 spin off the Fame Game board could really help anyone. I said spin not pick, because everyone spins now. And when someone spins, I have to put my hand out like this. (I demonstrate) And then I pull it back. Learned that from Jim Perry. Looking for a famous person. I am a film producer born in Warsaw, Poland. At an early age, I left Warsaw on foot and penniless. I made my way to Birmingham, England, where I remained with relatives for a few years. In 1898, I emigrated to the United States, but fearing refusal of entry, I got off the boat in Nova Scotia, Canada, before moving on to New York in January 1899. My innate marketing skills made me a very successful salesman at the Elite Glove Company in Gloversville. In 1913, I, along with my brother-in-law Jesse L. Lasky, Cecil B. DeMille, and Arthur Friend formed a partnership, The Jesse L. Lasky Feature Play Company, to produce feature length motion pictures. That partnership would go on to become Paramount Pictures. In 1916, I partnered with Broadway producers Edgar and Archibald Selwyn, using a combination of both names to form my studio name. I would legally change my name to match my studio, and that surname I used for the rest of my life. I've hired writers such as Ben Hecht, Sidney Howard, Dorothy Parker, and Lillian Hellman.(buzzcode and answer, please)
